Lidl Plan to Open More Supermarkets Across South Wales

Supermarket giant LIDL has unveiled ambitious plans to launch hundreds of new stores across the UK, with a focus on town centres, retail parks and standalone sites.

The company is on the hunt for locations that fit its standard store specifications, which include unit sizes ranging from 18,000 to 26,500 sq ft, a minimum of 100 dedicated car parking spaces and plots spanning 1.5 acres for standalone stores or up to 4 acres for mixed-use developments.

For London and the M25 corridor alone, Lidl is aiming for approximately 100 additional stores, including flexible formats in shopping centres, high streets, and retail parks, with or without car parking and near key public transport links. Here’s the full list of locations in South Wales where Lidl is planning new stores. These are detailed in their site requirements and proposals.
