Abseil is a brilliant experience at the best of times, but when it’s down the side of a building we all know and love, in the heart of Cardiff Bay, it really will make this a summer holiday to remember.
This September the Wales Millennium Centre have teamed up with Child Friendly Cardiff to deliver a fantastic abseiling opportunity for young people aged 12+ to come and scale the walls of this iconic building in Cardiff Bay.
Cardiff is the first city in Wales to participate in the UK committee for UNICEF (UNICEF UK)’s national Child Friendly Cities and Communities initiative. Their ambition is for Cardiff to be recognised as a Child Friendly City: a city with children and young people at its heart, where the rights of children and young people are respected by all, a great place to grow up.
They will work together to create a city where all children and young people can share their voice and have an input on decisions being made that will affect them.
You’ll be able to book your time slot to abseil the WMC in advance or by turning up on the day – available slots permitting. Under 18’s must be accompanied by parental/guardian/support worker and must have consent.
The SUMMER OF FUN ABSEIL is on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th of September between 11am and 5pm, it is free to take part but we suggest you get in quick as this one will be really popular.
