Aj Curti Big Night Out

The pandemic put pay to a visit to South Wales by Strictly favourite and AJ Pritchard, who was all set to visit the Wales Millennium Centre with his one man show. Fast forward almost a year, and the one man becomes two, as AJ & CURTIS get ready to head out on the road this year with their BIG NIGHT OUT. Although they aren’t getting to us here (yet) they are playing Venue Cymru if that’s close to you.

We know AJ was disappointed at having to cancel the massive dance show last year. He told us at the time……

I have been planning this tour since I first began dancing aged 12, so you are in for a real treat and I cannot wait to share my vision with you. Earlier in 2019 I toured the UK on my own for the first time and each venue had everyone out of their seats dancing and standing ovations each night. ‘AJ Live 2020’ will be no different! I hope you can all join me for the night of your life.

The new show, AJ AND CURTIS’S BIG NIGHT OUT is a live entertainment spectacular featuring explosive choreography and dance routines, roof-raising live musical performances with some incredibly special guest singers, live interactive games and comedy with exciting prizes to be won.

It’s definitely one for the whole family and let’s face it, after the 12 months we’ve all been through, we’re all going to need a BIG NIGHT OUT.

The boys are understandably thrilled to be out together, bringing this show to theatres all over the UK (not South Wales yet fellas). Curtis said…..

“I AM BEYOND EXCITED TO GO ON TOUR WITH MY BROTHER – AJ AND I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN CLOSE, AND WE’VE WANTED TO GO ON TOUR FOR AS LONG AS WE CAN REMEMBER. WE HAVE SOME UNBELIEVABLE STORIES TO TELL, SO THAT, COUPLED WITH LOTS OF DANCING, LAUGHTER, MUSIC AND PRIZES – I THINK THIS WILL A NIGHT OUT TO REMEMBER!”

As for AJ, being reunited professionally with his brother is a dream come true…..

“I CAN’T BELIEVE WE WILL BE TOURING TOGETHER – THIS IS SOMETHING WE HAVE WANTED TO DO FOR SO LONG. AFTER THE DIFFICULTIES SO MANY HAVE FACED THIS YEAR, WE REALLY WANTED TO PUT A SMILE ON EVERYONE’S FACES AND CREATE SOMETHING REALLY FUN AND ENTERTAINING FOR EVERYONE. THERE WILL BE LOTS OF DANCING, LOTS OF GAMES AND LOTS OF FUN – AND I ALSO CAN’T WAIT TO MEET OUR FANS WHO HAVE ALWAYS BEEN SO SUPPORTIVE.”

AJ began dancing at the age of 12, and his parents partnered him with Chloe Hewitt from their dance school. Together, they have represented Britain in dance competitions around the world, and won the National Youth Latin Championships for three consecutive years between 2012 and 2014. In 2015, AJ & Chloe also became the British Open Youth Latin Champions and the European Youth Latin Champions, as well as making it to the semi final in Britain’s Got Talent in 2013.

AJ and his professional dance partner Chloe Hewitt received acclaim from the judges and audience. The pair eventually reached the live semi-finals.

For a young man AJ has crammed a lot into his relatively short TV career. In 2019 he took part in BBC’s Celebrity MasterChef, leaving the show after his apple crumble infuriated the judges. He also partnered Louis Smith in the celebrity version of Hunted, in aid of Stand Up to Cancer. The pair split up during the series, leading to Louis being caught on Day 9 and AJ eventually going on to win the show on Day 14, alongside MP Johnny Mercer.

And of course, he made a spectacular appearance in the 202 ‘Welsh” based I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

AJ’s younger brother, Curtis, a fellow professional, who appears on Dancing with the Stars in Ireland and has toured with Natalie Lowe, Louis Smith and Jay McGuiness in the stage show Rip It Up. He famously was one of the contestants on Love Island, and to keep up his dating tally, he’s about to appear in the new C4 series Celebs Go Dating – The Mansion.

This series’ line-up will see Curtis Pritchard, former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Karim Zeroual, Geordie Shore’s Chloe Ferry, and Coronation Street actress Kimberly Hart-Simpson all living together as they look for love.

Completing the line-up are club owner Wayne Lineker (brother of Gary), Made in Chelsea’s Sophie Hermann and DJ Tom Zanetti.

AJ & CURTIS’ BIG NIGHT OUT kicks off in September running through to mid-October. No South Wales date as yet (come on boys), but they do get to Venue Cymru in Llandudno on Tuesday 12th October at 7:30pm. Tickets range from £26.90 to £42 for more details, and to get yours, go here. AJ & CURTIS
