Like so many of us I am a huge fan of Kate Bush, the singer who recently found a new audience thanks to the Netflix drama Stranger Things. For those of us who have been with her since the start, her incredible talent comes as no surprise.

Perhaps another time I’ll share my chance meeting with the woman herself when I was invited to the greatest party ever – Abbey Road Studios 50th Birthday.

So when we heard AN EVENING WITHOUT KATE BUSH is heading to The Courtyard Hereford tonight, we just had to share. Following its sold-out, critically acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe runs, two Soho Theatre seasons and 2020-2022 UK tours An Evening Without Kate Bush has been touring pretty much non-stop since.

AN EVENING WITHOUT KATE BUSH – TRAILER

Over a career spanning five decades, Kate Bush has always attracted loyal and devoted followers. An Evening Without Kate Bush explores their stories though her music, celebrating one of the most influential voices in British pop culture.

Enter Strange Phenomena, howl with The Hounds Of Love and dance on the moors with Wuthering Heights. Kate’s not there, but you are.
Performer SARAH-LOUISE YOUNG (Fascinating Aïda, Showstopper! The Improvised Musical and Cabaret Whore) invites you to release your inner Bush in this joyful, unique and mind-blowing show.

We’ll get all the hits including, ‘Running Up That Hill‘, ‘Cloudbusting‘ and my particular favourite, ‘The Man With The Child In His Eyes‘. The show also throws in some unexpected B-sides and Bootlegs alongside unique takes on songs like ‘This Woman’s Work‘ and ‘Babooshka‘.

As well as performing, Sarah-Louise is also a, writer and director – award winning we might add. She’s been named one of Time Out’s Top 10 Cabaret Acts and voted Best Musical Variety Act in the London Cabaret Awards, she has also been nominated for an Offie and awarded The Stage Award for acting

With inventive stage-craft, a wildly wonderful voice and mesmerising performance from Sarah-Louise, the show – based on years of Bush-related research – delves into the phenomenal fan base (known as Fish People) that Kate Bush has inspired since she first topped the UK charts in 1978.

In fact, The show has been selected by the Kate Bush Fan Club to headline their next convention.

Whether you’ve been a fan for decades or recently joined the shoal via Stranger Things, there has never been a better time to release your inner Bush and celebrate at this joyful, unique and mind- blowing show.
