The RHS CARDIFF FLOWER SHOW kicks off the horticultural calendar – and it’s back to mark the start of spring in April.
First of all, and to help shake off the winter blues, let’s have a look back at last year’s show and some picture highlights.
Along with beautiful gardens, endless shopping and a plant-packed Floral Marquee, the show at Cardiff revealed how being in the great outdoors can benefit our health. There was also plenty of tasty eateries to make a stop-off for lunch, plus a host of talks and workshops to get stuck into.
The Floral Marquee played host to the multi gold medal-winning specialist R. & A. Scamp Quality Daffodils, who were names Master Grower. Visitors saw a show-stopping display featuring hundreds of varieties of daffodils and a walk-through woodland feature that offered a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the nursery.
In what is the RHS’ first major flower show of the season, at RHS Cardiff 2020 expect stunning floral displays and gardens galore to give you lots of seasonal ideas for your outdoor space, whatever your space or budget, along with plenty of plants to buy and take home.
Expert growers from all over the UK will be joining in the fun at Cardiff, showcasing their springtime favourites in the FLORAL MARQUEE. Meet their Master Grower, get advice from the RHS Team and maybe buy some new additions for your garden – it’s the ultimate place for plants.
One of the most exciting things about RHS Flower Shows is seeing plants and design come together in the gardens and Cardiff 2020 will be no exception. These designs will be a great source of inspiration for your garden, whatever your space or budget.
Browse the tradestands (here) and find the perfect new pair of gardening gloves, tools or maybe even indulge in some jewellery for yourself or a loved one. It’s the perfect place to pick up birthday presents and unique one-off gifts.
With the best nurseries to hand, each with beautiful displays in the Floral Marquee and Plant Village, specialist growers will be at the show to answer your questions and showcase their range of top-quality plants. With hand-picked stalls, each offering something different, browse an exciting range of garden products, gifts for the home and local artisan foods.
Of course, everyone is getting excited about being back in the garden again, including the team of experts that will be joining the show. Whether you’re interested in growing vegetables, need advice for your borders or fancy learning a new skill, they have a range of talks and workshops that you can get involved with.
Here’s a little treat thinking ahead to Easter. Floral Designer Jonathan Moseley shows you how to create a hand-tied Easter posy ahead of his appearance at RHS Flower Show Cardiff.
