Could You Be The Next Junior Bake Off Champion

The current series of JUNIOR BAKE OFF has just finished, and we have to say it has been a brilliant watch. Don’t get me wrong, the grown-up version is great, but watching these young bakers in action is an education in itself.

It’s not all about the baking for these kids, it’s friendship and support, and they all had so much fun. If you get a chance to watch it on catch-up, we can highly recommend it.

We have deliberately not mentioned who won the series, just in case you haven’t seen it yet. But there is one contestant who typify’s what the show is all about. They were all fantastic, but Lola was something else. She definitely won the nation’s heart with her kind spirit. She laughed and smiled her way thought the entire series.

The presenters and judges are much more hands-on than in the adult show, which is a really good thing. Harry Hill, Liam Charles and Ravneet Gill were constantly amazed at just how good these young bakers were.

So, if you are bonkers about bread or have a passion for pastry, then you could be baking in the famous white tent in 2022!

If you, or someone you know, are aged 9-12 years old and love baking, apply for the next series of Junior Bake Off. The search is now on for talented home bakers to impress our judges.

South Wales was well represented in the last series with proud Welsh speaker TOMOS who lives in Cardiff.

But of course it would be nice to have more Welsh baking talent in the next series. Filming would take place from July 2022, but applications close on Sunday 13^th March 2022.
