Local author EVONNE WAREHAM is back with a new romance to set the pulse racing – featuring suspense, sunshine and a wedding on the Riviera!

There’s no doubt that Barry is beautiful, but for those of us who have missed out on travelling further afield during the past couple of years, books have been a lifeline – especially when they transport us to sunnier climes on these gloomy winter days. And Evonne’s latest novel A Wedding on the Riviera, which will be released in paperback next month, is a book that does just that.

Evonne Wareham

Set on the glamorous French Riviera, it is a classic example of the author’s signature romance style, featuring sea, sunshine and an intriguing dash of suspense. The story follows out-of-work actor Ryan Calder and businesswoman Nadine Wells who take it upon themselves to seek justice when one of Nadine’s friends is cruelly abandoned by the groom at her wedding, who swiftly makes off with the wedding cash!

It turns out that the groom in question is a serial con artist who has cheated more than one unfortunate bride out of money – can Ryan and Nadine stop him before he strikes again?

Evonne is something of a local writing celebrity, having won awards for her previous novels – and she describes publication of A Wedding on the Riviera as “a great start to the new year”. Perhaps the most impressive aspect about the book is the fact that it was completed during lockdown when access to glamorous foreign holiday locations was most certainly off-limits.

Evonne admits that this was a challenge but hopes that she has still succeeded in the task of creating……..

“an escapist mix of romance and crime, ending, of course, with a fantastic wedding, that readers will enjoy.”

We think readers will agree that she certainly has.

A Wedding on the Riviera is part of Evonne’s ‘Riviera’ series, which features three books set in beautiful French and Italian locations. The books are all ‘stand-alone’ and can be read in any order, but you might spot a few recurring characters. Other novels in the series include Summer in San Remo and A Villa in Portofino.

A Wedding on the Riviera will be published on 18th January 2022. It will be available from all good book shops and online retailers.
