Put together some seriously crazy golf, cocktails, DJ’s and Street Food in an art infused environment that showcases the very best street art, its writers and its culture and you’ve pretty much summed up GOLF FANG.
This is crazy golf like you’ve never experienced before. It’s weird and wonderful and up until now we’ve had to travel to one of their other locations – but not anymore.
The Liverpool based hospitality operators are planning to open their latest Golf Fang site on Cardiff’s Mary Ann Street next month, and already there’s a real buzz on the streets.
The company was founded by Kip Piper and Daniel Bolger, who opened their first site in Liverpool in 2016 inside the 25,000 square-foot Cains Brewery.
Each Golf Fang venue offers an 18-hole crazy golf experience, combined with themed cocktails and DJs in a ‘sprayground’ environment where the venue features work from selected graffiti artists. The brand’s goal is to create a unique set of courses that provide guests with an experience that both inspires and positions graffiti as an art form.
They pride themselves on being disruptive, diverse and different. They never accept average and push the boundaries in everything they do. Their talented teams work together to create jaw-dropping, socialisation concepts with plenty of character and collaboration, capturing the hearts and minds of everyone that enters our venues.
If you need proof, South Wales Life was invited to take a look around their Birmingham venue to get a feel for what’s heading our way in March.
Golf Fang provides the Graff Writers with golf courses built into weird and wonderful designs such as buses, shop fronts, film studios and pubs… the list is endless and nothing is off limits.
The company now owns and operates across five cities in the UK, including Birmingham, Newcastle, Liverpool, Sheffield and Glasgow. Golf Fang Cardiff will be their sixth location following a successful launch in Sheffield. The Big Fang Collective now has plans to expand further across the UK, with seven already planned to launch before 2025.
The Big Fang Collective’s focus on delivering next-level entertainment spaces, coupled with the brand’s market-disrupting nature, helped attract investment from Imbiba earlier this year. Renowned for investing in high-growth, category leading leisure and entertainment brands, Imbiba invested £5m in aid to grow the brand, both in the UK and internationally.
Kip Piper, co-founder of The Big Fang Collective told us….
“We are really excited to grow the Golf Fang family and to be bringing the experience to Wales. Cardiff is a great location for the newest Golf Fang and we love the energy and atmosphere the city has to offer. The newest venue will feature some of our most popular experiential elements and we can’t wait to see how the guests interact with the graffiti-led space.”
When the venue gets to the capital it will be open seven days per week from midday till late, with bookings and walk-ins both accepted. We will of course bring you more details once we have them. In the meantime head over to their site to see what they do – HERE.
