Who would have imagined at the start of the pandemic that gigs, already rescheduled to the end of this year, would need to be rescheduled again. The MANICS are the latest band having to do just that with their charity gigs at the Motorpoint Arena.
Now before you hurry to the box office to get your tickets, they are pretty much sold out. We have just checked however and there is low availability right now for the Saturday, so get in and be quick.
The MANIC STREET PREACHERS announced this special concert in support of frontline staff working so hard during the current crisis back in April. They’ve actually lined up a pair of arena concerts to benefit NHS workers in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
Appropriately, they’ll play the shows at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena. The band told us at the time…….
“We wanted to do something to show our appreciation, love and respect for the NHS and its amazing brave workers. One free show and one fundraising show seemed the best way for us to express our deep gratitude for all their heroic work.”
“The first show will be free for all UK NHS workers. Tickets are limited to two per worker, with workers allowed to bring a non-NHS guest. Any staff that work within an NHS hospital are eligible, “including, but not limited to, doctors, nurses, support workers, porters and cleaners”.
Tickets for the free concert for NHS Staff, now on Friday 16th July, will be limited to two per person (eligible NHS staff members and one guest). The tickets will be available from here. MANICS (remember these are now fully booked)
Those eligible for tickets will be all NHS staff that work within NHS hospitals in the UK including, but not limited to, doctors, nurses, support workers, porters and cleaners. Any staff that work within the hospital will be eligible to apply for tickets. Eligible NHS staff members are entitled to bring one guest with them but will need two tickets (one for them and one for their guest).
The second show will give us all a chance to see the guys do what they do so brilliantly. All money raised will be in support of NHS Charities, something the band feel really passionate about. Those tickets are on sale here. CHARITY at £35.75 each and there are currently balcony tickets available and some resale at £41.11
