With everything from a family fun day, to plenty of live music, we have events at all of our local racecourses to celebrate each of them. So let’s take a look at what’s going on and a few dates for your diary.


CHEPSTOW RACECOURSE
Get a group of mates together for their STUDENT PARTY RACE DAY. The regular crowd will be joined by the thrill-seekers from local universities. INVADES offers a unique student experience bringing people together for great days at the races. However, this is open to all!
The prestigious Cheltenham Festival may have just finished but you can still capture a piece of the excitement by joining us for a great afternoon of thrilling jumps racing at Chepstow Racecourse!


The Student Party Raceday is on Sunday 20th March, all the details are HERE.
This one is always popular, and having worked with the band more times than you can imagine, we can tell you they are so much fun live. The BEER AND CIDER FESTIVAL features West Country favourite’s THE WURZELS, Live After Racing.
With excitement building towards the end of the 2021/2022 Jumps Season, this is your chance to enjoy all the fun and thrilling atmosphere watching live horse racing at Chepstow Racecourse. 15 minutes after the last race we will also be joined by The Wurzels in our Bonanza Boy Marquee! They will be providing the perfect post-race atmosphere to enjoy the rest of the Beer and Cider festivities. The Wurzels will be performing for an hour wrapping up at 18:00.
Get together your friends and family for an afternoon watching great sport in beautiful surroundings. As well as the excitement of watching live horse racing, enjoy delicious food and drink too.

That takes us nicely to a day for the whole clan, THE EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA FAMILY FUNDAY has something for everyone, as well as the racing.

With only a handful of Jumps fixtures remaining before the end of the season, now is the time to head for a day at the races to enjoy watching the horses and jockeys compete at Chepstow Racecourse.
The Easter Eggstravaganza Family Funday is on Monday 18th April and you can get your tickets HERE.
We like this one, as the tickets are 2 for 1, and we know how you all love a deal! FRIDAY NIGHT RACING ft. THE DUNRAVEN BOWL promises to be a lovely Spring evening (hopefully), with some fine racing.
They close the 2021/2022 Jumps Racing season with the Jumps Season Finale, plus welcome in the summer as they stage the first evening fixture of the year at Chepstow racecourse!
The Dunraven Bowl is a championship race for novice pointers to pointers qualified with a number of hunts in Wales. It has been sponsored by the Dunraven Group for more than 20 years. The company, based at Pyle near Bridgend, is one of the biggest commercial supporters of Chepstow Racecourse. The chairman and founder is David Brace OBE who also trains racehorses and won the Bowl in 2019 with Pink Eyed Pedro.
If you’re looking for things to do in Chepstow on a Friday night, then an evening at the races will certainly provide you with all the fun and excitement you need to get the weekend off to a great start.


Take in the atmosphere from the grandstand as horses thunder down the track and across the finish line, whilst enjoying a range of delicious food and drink too!

The big Live After Racing event this year is the magnificent PALOMA FAITH on Friday 8th July.
This special show will see the highly esteemed singer, songwriter and actress perform a magnificent headline set, with the added bonus of a full day at the races beforehand.
Stopping-by in Chepstow as part of her second major arena tour in less than a year, Paloma will be performing songs from her acclaimed new album: ‘Infinite Things’ and much more.
Timings are to be confirmed but the first race is likely to be off around 6pm and end at 9pm with Paloma Faith on stage around 9.15pm. The event is expected to close at 11pm.

FFOS LAS RACECOURSE
It all kicks off at Ffos las with SPRING AFTERNOON RACING IN ASSOCIATION WITH UWTSD towards the end of March.
Join them for a race day of the future! This unique opportunity will see the University of Wales Trinity Saint David Tourism and Events manage the racecourse. This collaboration with Ffos Las will see the industry professionals of the future hosting your race day.
Acting General Manager on the day will be Summer Cavanagh a final year Events and International Festival management student who said……
“I am honoured to have been given the opportunity to plan a real-life event of this stature and be given the responsibility to showcase my professional skills with the support of my fellow student management team.”


UWTSD is proud to announce that they have been nominated for the best academic and industry partnership at the 2022 Springboard Awards of Excellence for Hospitality and Tourism. This award demonstrates the real-life opportunities, achievements and successful skill development of the students.

Live After Racing at Ffos Las features KAISER CHIEFS – Oh My Go We Can’t Believe it! (sorry).
If you’re looking for things to do in Ffos Las in summer 2022, this should be top of your list. With a day in the sunshine (hopefully!) taking in the excitement of the races, you’ll then move with the crowds to in front of the stage to sing, dance and jump along to the one and only Kaiser Chiefs.
The Indie Rock Band from Leeds formed in 2000 and will hit the stage for a huge show as part of the Kaiser chiefs tour, with band mates Ricky Wilson, Andrew White, Simon Rix, Nick Baines and Vijay Mistry ready to rock.

One of the must-attend horse racing fixtures at Ffos Las races, Ladies Day is back! We can’t wait to see the wonderful array of outfits inspired by iconic Ladies Day fashion on display at our most stylish event of the season.


Although there’s no strict dress code at Ffos Las, people usually like to dress for the occasion. So, get out your favourite outfit and brush off your best hat, who knows, you may even catch the eye of the judges in The Ladies Day Style Awards!

HEREFORD RACECOURSE
Finally, they have a packed season ahead at Hereford, with much than simply a day of racing. It starts this weekend with the SUPER IRISH SATURDAY RACEDAY INCLUDING 6 NATIONS.
