Okay, Niall Horan is going on tour and the date you need to put in your diary is the 6th March (or pre-sale right now). That’s not when he gets here but when tickets go on sale. 9am to be exact and they are going to go like the proverbial hot cakes. So make sure to mark that date in your diary and don’t say we didn’t tell you. You can see where and how to get them at the bottom of the page.
The UK leg of the tour actually kicks off in Cardiff on the 21st October, and he’ll play London, Glasgow, Manchester, two dates in Northern Ireland – Belfast and Dublin, before finishing in Birmingham in November. We tell you all that as we know fans will be touring alongside Niall to catch all the live show.
This is one hell of a tour as well. He’ll be dropping in on Australia, Europe, Russia, and South America. And we can tell you that in America they go really crazy for Niall.
He’ll be joined by Maisie Peters for the UK dates, but for America and Canada tour, which runs through April and May, he’s dragged Lewis Capaldi along to be his support act. Not that is going to be one heck of a show we reckon. Sadly, not here though.
Judging by the pictures we’ve seen from the tour photoshoot, we think this is the start of something very special, a real bromance if you will.
Niall himself rose to fame, on another level, as a member of One Direction. Unbelievably, it’s ten years now since Niall auditioned as a solo contestant for The X Factor. After being eliminated as solo performers, Niall, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, and Harry Styles were put together in a band. And the rest is – well, I think you all know the rest. They went on to absolutely conquer the musical world, and some.
Following the band’s hiatus in 2016, Niall signed a recording deal as a solo artist. His singles “This Town” and “Slow Hands” from his debut studio album Flicker reached the top 20. The album debuted at number one in Ireland and the United States, as well as charting within the top three in Australia and the UK.
If you’ve seen or heard this acoustic version of Slow Hands it really is good. It really shows Niall has true musical talent as a writer, musician and singer.
As for the new stuff, well Niall has been dropping new music over the last couple of months, including “Nice To Meet Ya” which was a little different from his usual sound! He performed the song for the first time at the MTV Europe Music Awards last November.
The second single from his album, “Put A Little Love On Me” came out in December and definitely shows his softer side. Niall said……
“I Just wanted to release this song because I feel like it deserves to be released and I want you to have it now,”
When he posted the song on Twitter he added……
“I’m jet lagged out of my mind but I couldn’t not stay up to see your reaction to this song. I love this song and I’m glad it’s yours now, can’t wait to play it live on tour for ya!”
And that brings us very nicely to the current single, released just in time for the tour announcement.
Niall’s second album ‘Heartbreak Weather’ is out on March 13th and from what we’ve heard already it is another belter and one which truly cements him as a solo performer. All this success does come with some disadvantages, he won’t get to play as much golf as we know he’d like.
Actually, to Niall, golf is more than just a way to get out in the fresh air with his mates, he takes the whole thing very seriously and he’s a pretty good player too. He’s worked closely supporting initiatives such as Drive Chip Putt in America to help support and encourage the next generation of golfers break through, something which is very important to Niall.
Apart from being a keen player, Niall has spent the last four years spending as much time as possible on all the golf tours including the Challenge, European and USPGA tour and is a driving force behind the Modest! Golf business. Most importantly to Niall is forging close relationships with all his players and supporting them in every aspect of their careers. You can find out more about that by going here.
