Weddings have been a sore and painful subject this last 18 months. Lockdown caused so many cancellations, we can’t even begin to imagine what it must have been like to call off the day you had worked so long and hard to put together.

If you are now planning your big day, a wedding fair is pretty much essential. You’ll get ideas for things you may never have thought about and most certainly you’ll be able to buy or book a lot of what you need at most of them. Each appointment has an allocation of 1 hour and 30 minutes.  If you are making a booking for both the Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom, please book 2 appointments back-to-back (e.g. 9am and 10:30am). This way, they can reserve the same changing room for 3 hours exclusively for you.

Intimate and atmospheric, our elegant private dining room echoes all the intrigue and drama it must have seen in days gone by, provided today by the open theatre kitchen where your guests will enjoy prime viewing while our chefs work away, revealing the secrets of the sumptuous dining they are about to enjoy.

This gorgeous room makes a fabulous setting for private lunches and dinners and provides an elegant experience for more intimate celebrations of up to 50 guests.

They have a special WEDDING OPEN DAY when you can take a look around The Parkgate Hotel on Saturday 13^th November and be amongst the very first to celebrate your big day at Cardiff’s chic new wedding venue.

VALE HOTEL & HENSOL CASTLE

One Resort – Two Beautiful Venues. This is a real Resort Showcase at the Vale Hotel & Spa & Hensol Castle. Although they don’t currently have any events in place, they are regular happenings, and when they do, are pretty spectacular.

When it comes to planning a fairytale wedding we don’t think you’ll find a more idyllic setting than Hensol Castle in the Vale of Glamorgan. The 400-year-old Grade I-listed castle is the stuff of childhood dreams.

Its majestic turrets, grand staircases and 15-acre serpentine lake provide the perfect backdrop for breath-taking photographs and set the tone for a magical celebration. Hensol Castle is a luxury wedding venue steeped in history but there’s nothing old-fashioned or fussy about it. They’ve spent millions lovingly restoring the castle to its former glory and it shows. The Ceremony and Wedding Breakfast suite have panoramic views across Cardiff Bay and will be dressed for you to see how your wedding could look at Voco St David’s.

THE BIG WELSH WEDDING SHOW

At Depot, Cardiff this is another really big event taking place next year. This is a creative, cool and unique wedding event that’s anything but traditional! Brought to you by Francesca Hill Photography, The Big Welsh Wedding Show is the wedding show for stylish couples looking to take their wedding planning to the next level.

The Celtic Manor fayre is always a popular event, and very well supported. You can not only meet suppliers, but take in the atmosphere of this stunning location and venue.

The reviews from couples who have had their wedding at the resort pretty much say it all……

“Everything that day was completely faultless, and to this day we both agree that we wouldn’t change a thing if we had to do it all over again. The timings all ran smoothly, the venue was dressed exactly how I visioned it.
