If you’ve never paid a visit to the annual COUNTRY TO COUNTRY festival, you really are missing out on something special. Our last visit was pre-covid to see the phenomenal Keith Urban. The great news is, the festival is back to full health and ready to go at the O2 in London.

As any country fan will tell you, this is Europe’s biggest country music festival with something like over 60,000 fans expected over this weekend.

This year the Welsh flag will be flying loud and proud as Swansea country starlet ELERI ANGHARAD takes to the global stage. She’ll join the bill that already sees US superstars Miranda Lambert, Luke Combs and Darius Rucker headline the event.

Eleri becomes only the second Welsh performer to grace the festival, and the first to still be living in Wales making this a historic moment. She is also one of a handful of British performers on this year’s bill, which only adds to the excitement and grandeur of this accomplishment.

Eleri told us…….

“To say I’m over the moon is an understatement. It’s an absolute dream come true for me! C2C is the big one! I last went in 2018 to see Emmylou Harris and was absolutely awestruck by the event. I always had it in the back of my mind that it was something I wanted to perform and showcase my music at. Needless to say, I’m thrilled at the huge opportunity to share a bill and stage with such incredible acts that I’ve always in my career.

I’ll be flying the Welsh flag proud and showing off what the land of song can really do!”

Eleri’s latest EP ‘Nightclub Floor’ including singles ‘Delete It’, ‘New Sin’ and ‘Blank Walls’ has amassed over 500,000 combined streams, and garnered international and commercial airplay including Absolute Country Radio, Chris Country and UK Country Radio. The title track was also A-Listed on BBC Radio Wales making the 2021 EP her most successful work to date, despite a global pandemic.

Named “An Artist to Watch” by Belles & Gals, a leading voice in the female country music scene, Eleri Angharad has certainly lived up to that title. At 19, Eleri ventured out to North Carolina to study Musical Theatre and whilst there took the opportunity to perform in Nashville, Chicago and New York; Eleri writes music that captures the traditional country music storytelling with catchy pop melodies. She draws influences from James Taylor, Kacey Musgraves and Taylor Swift to name a few.

Captivated by Nashville artists’ stories of heartbreak, travelling and coming home; Eleri released her debut album ‘Earthbound’ in 2019 – a body of work based on her travels across the USA, Ireland and Scandinavia. The album’s title track was playlisted on the BBC Radio Wales ‘Welsh A- list’ for 5 weeks and received support from God is on the Zine TV, Welsh Soundboard Magazine, The AU review and more. Earthbound was accompanied by a 39-date tour across the UK and Europe.

Tickets for the Country to Country festival are available HERE. She also performs performing on the Icon and Garden stages today (Sunday 13th March).
