Everyone who saw BEAUTY AND THE BEAST at Swansea Grand clearly loved it, loved it and the entire team knew they’d delivered a Christmas cracker. This has now been endorsed by our FOUR nominations for The Pantomime Awards 2023: Best Pantomime (Over 900 seats), Best Choreography, Best Lighting and Best Set Design.
Understandably, they are really proud of this achievement as the competition for these awards was fierce; UK Pantomime Association’s 64 judges attended over 240 venues to see over 700 performances, far and wide across the United Kingdom.
Strictly glitter-ball winner and Casualty Favourite JOE MCFADDEN and Swansea’s own West End leading lady HAYLEY GALLIVAN joined the panto favourites KEV JOHNS, MATT EDWARDS and STEFAN PEJIC, in the spectacular production.
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at the Trafalgar Theatre, in London’s West End, on Tuesday 11April 2023 at 7pm and we’re keeping everything crossed for our Beauty of a panto.
Swansea Grand Theatre Manager, Grant McFarlane told us……
“Beauty and the Beast broke Box Office records and we received hundreds of positive comments from our audiences, so to be nominated for these awards, especially, Best Panto, really is the icing on the Christmas cake.”
