As we begin to look forward to Autumn and the nights drawing in THE IVY, CARDIFF have the perfect treat in store for us to enjoy. A new Autumn menu and some spookily delicious halloween-themed desserts and cocktails. The question is, WITCH cocktail do you choose? It’s a DEVILISH difficult decision.

Now we say look forward to Autumn, because people usually get excited about the long hot summer months, but for us here in the SOUTH WALES LIFE office, autumn really is where the best action happens. Think about it – we certainly know what we’re going to get from the weather over the next few months. The new series of Bake Off is in full swing, and Strictly follows real soon, and let’s be honest, after endless repeats we really need them.

GBBO 2020 Contestants – Channel 4

We carve up a Halloween treat with a pumpkin, go a little bonfire night crazy with the fireworks, then of course get all toasty in front of the fire. None of these enforced hot summer nights, the air is cool and crisp and we decide what we wear to keep us warm.

Best of all however, our favourite restaurants roll out the autumn menu, and we can look forward to some fantastic food after a refreshing walk, wrapped up in our cosy knitwear.

I think you’ve guessed by now that we love the autumn.

Based in the heart of the city, The Ivy, Cardiff offer a stylish setting to enjoy the delicious new dishes, which are all available now.

They have also just announced their wicked halloween-themed cocktails and desserts. Whether it is terrifying ghouls and ghosts or cute pumpkins patches, The Ivy Cardiff’s unique cocktails and spooky dessert is sure to get you in the spook-tastic spirit.

A warming Pumpkin Spiced Latte, combining a scrumptious blend of spiced rum, Monin pumpkin spice syrup, almond milk and garnished with toasted marshmallow and a cinnamon stick, and the indulgent Toffee Apple Martini, which mixes a spiced rum with Calvados liqueur, caramel sauce and apple juice.

You’ll have to be quick however, these will only be available from Monday 26th October to Saturday 31st October.

If that isn’t enough to get you in the mood, a delectable dessert will be available exclusively on Halloween night itself. The spooky Pumpkin Patch features a buried pumpkin brûlée and chocolate brownie, clouded with a milk mousse mist and vanilla ice cream. You can even dig into the edible soil.
