You certainly don’t have to be a VW owner to enjoy DUBS AT THE CASTLE believe us, there are more than enough enthusiasts there to entertain you over the weekend, and it’s all happening next month.

DATC is simply a fun-filled family camping weekend, brought to you by VW enthusiasts, whose passion and love for Volkswagens helps to bring you a VW experience like no other. Whether you’re new to the VW scene or a seasoned professional, DATC creates a special atmosphere for all the family to enjoy.

It really is a jam-packed few days. Throughout the weekend there are Live Bands, Traders, Club Displays, the ever popular Old Skool Bike Competition and of course, Show ‘n Shine. Children’s activities and a great selection of food stalls help to keep the little ones happy while you spend your time admiring the wonderful array of Volkswagens on display.

Here’s a look back at the 2019 EVENT.

The venue couldn’t be more perfect either. Set in the beautiful grounds of Caldicot Castle, DATC is a firm favourite in the VW calendar. You just have to look at the thousands of pictures taken over the weekends, with vans looking resplendent against the castle walls, in the bright sunshine or evening sky.

Perhaps one of Wales’ best kept secrets, the castle at Caldicot sits on an ancient site. Restored to much of its original outstanding condition, it is a lovely place to spend the day. The castle contains all the elements of the typical medieval fortress, and has been lovingly cared for by its present owners, who have opened it to the public.

One of the best ways to enjoy this incredible structure is to make use of the self-guided cassette tour which allows you to explore the castle at your own pace. But however you travel around Caldicot Castle, you will find yourself transported back to the Middle Ages, and tracing the development of castle-building in Southeastern Wales.

The organisers are understandably delighted at the reaction to these events with unbelievable support, which seems to grow year on year. They recently said…..

‘We cannot believe how many early bird tickets we have sold so far and the messages we are getting regarding tickets for presents. Thank you guys for your support.’
