After a weekend of excitement at PRIDE CYMRU the momentum continues at COWBRIDGE PRIDE another all inclusive event celebrating the LGBTQ+ community in Cowbridge and The Vale of Glamorgan.
Founded by Steps star, IAN H WATKINS, in collaboration with the Welsh Government. Cowbridge Pride aims to celebrate, educate and raise funds for Cowbridge Schools resources.
There are six main events taking place from this week, through to Saturday 24th June. It all began with the official LGBTQ+ Flag raiaing at Cowbridge Town Hall this morning.
When Ian organised the first event last year he said…….
“The world has changed since I was growing up. I want my children to grow up celebrating diversity and representation. It’s important that Cowbridge reflects that.
This is my passion project. Something I’ve wanted to do for a while. We’ve got lots of exciting things planned and more to be announced, but this is only the start. We can’t wait to share this special event with everybody.”
