If you’ve driven along the M4 past the five star Celtic Manor Resort in Newport you may well have seen the work on the latest hotel in its expanding portfolio.

The TŶ NEWPORT is being built next to its Coldra Court Hotel in Langstone, just a few minutes from the Celtic Manor.

This is the second Tŷ Hotel project, under the Celtic Collection brand, the 146-room hotel is scheduled to open this June with a separate building to house a drive thru Costa Coffee, which is already open.

We went along to a special Party in the Rafters to get our first look inside the building – or maybe more appropriate to say the building site. Work is still going on, and with an event planned for the opening month, which includes a fully booked hotel, they have to be finished in time.

As well as sampling some of the food and drink the hotel will be serving up, we were given a first tour of the upper floors by MATT BARNBY, the Celtic Collection Cluster Hotel Director.

TŶ NEWPORT

Located just off Junction 24 of the M4 Motorway, Tŷ Newport is a short drive from Newport city centre, the Celtic Manor Resort, ICC Wales and is within 25 miles of Cardiff and Bristol. This new destination is another addition to the growing Celtic Collection, offering an ideal place to stay if you are attending an event or looking to book a golf break.
