It’s My Shout Announces 2026 Awards Night Celebrations

It’s My Shout Productions CIC will host its next Awards Night Celebration on Sunday 12th April at the ICC Newport, an annual tradition starting in 2002, which celebrates the next generation of creative talent from across Wales.

The evening will showcase the achievements of emerging filmmakers, performers and crew who have taken part in It’s My Shout dramas, documentaries, and community based productions over the past year, which have been broadcast on BBC Wales and S4C.

Participants are drawn from local communities, colleges, schools, housing associations, secure units, and youth centres to work closely with experienced industry mentors on professional film projects. Many of these participants have joined the scheme from socially deprived areas where opportunities in the Film and TV sector are marginal or nonexistent.

Awards will be presented to trainees and Heads of Department in recognition of their creativity, dedication and professional development. The event will be attended by industry professionals, celebrities, and local businesses, alongside the young creatives themselves, who will walk the red carpet for interviews and photography. Previous guests and supporters of the scheme include Tom Cullen (Trespasses, Channel 4), Sam Locke (28 Years Later: The Bone Temple), Michael Sheen (Good Omens, Netflix) and Gavin and Stacey’s Ruth Jones and Rob Brydon.

The Awards Ceremony promises to be a vibrant celebration of creativity, collaboration and opportunity. It will bring together people of all ages to share experiences, build confidence and celebrate achievement within a supportive and inspiring environment. Over 1000 attendees will come together, celebrating what Interim Head of BBC Nations Rhuanedd Richards has called “the best Awards night of the year”.

Since 2002, It’s My Shout Productions CIC has specialised in discovering and developing new talent for the film and television industry.
