The AMGUEDDDFA CYMRU FOOD FESTIVAL is back at St Fagans National Museum of History. During the Food Festival weekend, tasty treats will be served by an exciting line-up of the finest local producers with over 80 food, drink and craft stalls nestled among the historic buildings. Family friendly activities will be held in different locations across the museum, from cookery demos in the historic houses, to live music and lots of family fun.

From pizzas to tacos, doughnuts to ice cream – there’s something to tickle everyone’s taste buds! There’s also plenty of options for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes.  

Head over to the Food Market for cakes, cheeses, preserves and lots more. There’ll be over 40 Welsh food and drink producers for you to discover.  

The Street Food Areas will be split into two different locations – Tannery and Cilewent. Here you can choose from an array of cuisines from across the world, from traditional Welsh fare to pizzas, burgers, vegan food, Mexican, Japanese, Indian, and much more.

There’ll be live music across two stages featuring a host of Welsh talent curated by BBC Horizons, Tafwyl, New Heights, and Amgueddfa Cymru Producers. 

From making butter to discovering what shopping was like in the 1920s, visitors can enjoy taking a step back in time at some of the museum’s most iconic buildings thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery. Family friendly activities, from cookery demos in the historic houses to circus skills, will be held in different locations across the museum – plenty to keep the little ones entertained.

From traditional Welsh fare to delicious street food, here are a few of the stalls that will be offering their tasty treats:

Austringer Cider, Babita’s Spice Deli, Bao Selecta, Gin Tin Bar, Green Beans, Hello Good Pie, Ice Green, Minto’s Patisserie, Mr Croquewich, Quantum Coffee Roasters, Rickshaw Rodeo, The Pudding Wagon, The Real Ting, Welsh Gluten Free Bakery Products, plus lots more.

 “The food festival is one of the biggest events in the Amgueddfa Cymru calendar, and we will be celebrating a wide range of Welsh producers and a diverse range of talent from across Wales at the event. Visitors can expect delicious food, great music and lots of fun for everyone to enjoy.

The Food Festival will be a welcoming and enjoyable experience for everyone. This year, there will be a BSL programme.

Roaming interpreters are available at the event to guide D/deaf visitors around the festival, attend workshops with them, and to help with ordering food & drink. This service will be provided by fully qualified interpreters and some training interpreters / Communication Support Workers. 

Some activities & performances will be delivered by deaf facilitators & performers including:  

- Rag Rug Workshop (Saturday) 

- BSL Taster Sessions 

- Taking Flight Theatre Roaming Performances 

There’ll also be a space where the D/deaf community can meet up to socialise and find out what’s happening around the festival.
