At the New Theatre in Cardiff for the rest of this week is TONY [THE TONY BLAIR ROCK OPERA] and a mighty fine and funny show it is. Head over to our review HERE and our original show feature and interview with writers HARRY HILL and STEVE BROWN – HERE.
ROSIE STROBEL has been with the production pretty much from the start, playing John Prescott in the original production at the Park theatre, London
Rosie has had a huge on stage career including performing in the gala concert of MIMMA at Cadogan Hall with the BBC Concert Orchestra alongside Sir David Suchet and Louise Dearman.
She’s played Sister Mary Patrick in Sister Act, My Fair Lady and Me And My Girl (Kilworth House Theatre); Do I Hear A Waltz (Park Theatre); Dolly in One Man,Two Guvnors (Derby Theatre); and the impressive list goes on.
For us however, it’s the fact most of her family come from South Wales, meaning Rosie spent many a holiday in Barry enjoying the fish and chips and log flume, back in the day.
We caught up with Rosie when she arrived in Cardiff to chat about the show and her characters, but we had to start with a little trip down Barry Island memory lane…….
