One of our biggest free shows returns this weekend, and if the weekend weather is anything like the last event it will be a show like no other. No matter what however, thousands will turn out for one of our biggest Airshows on Swansea Bay.
In 2019 they smashed the attendance record, the weather was perfect and the organisers felt it was the best ever! They had another record breaking year last year after a Covid break, and we’re sure there’ll be record crowds out again this weekend.
We are told however, that this year promises to be the biggest and best Wales Airshow ever, for the next two days.
Regarded as one of the biggest and most popular free events in Wales and attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors to Swansea Bay.
Breathtaking aerobatic displays, state-of-the-art military aircraft and vintage planes from the past thrilled tens of thousands of visitors in Swansea Bay once again.
The Reds will be joined by many more aerobatic teams and displays, to be confirmed in the build up to this year’s event.
Over two days, some of the best pilots and flying display in the world use the natural amphitheatre of Swansea Bay to show their stuff, pulling off incredible aerial acrobatics. From jets to helicopters to the incredible Red Arrows, it’s two days of the year not to be missed. And even better – it’s free!
But it’s not just in the air where you’ll see all the action – Swansea Prom is also transformed with ground displays, delicious food and drink trucks, VR experiences, musicians and bands playing live music, demonstrations, family activities, rides and more! Check out more on our Ground Displays page.
It’s no surprise that over 200,000 attend across the weekend every year! Ground Displays are open from 10am – 6pm both days with flights starting from 1pm Saturday 1st July and 12noon Sunday 2nd July – and we can’t wait to see you there!
