One of the highlights of the circuit last year was undoubtedly the Newport FESTIVAL OF COMEDY. Sitting in the fantastic surroundings of Tredegar Park, enjoying some of the finest performers with food, drink, family and friends was the perfect way to spend a Sunday evening.

After three tremendous packed-out shows in the summer sunshine at Tredegar Park, the Giggling Goat is returning on Sunday, 21st July with a star-studded line up that includes headliner Joel Dommett, Angela Barnes, Andy Parsons, Babatunde Aléshé, Kerry Godliman, Steffan Evans and Hal Cruttenden as MC and more.

Accompanying the stellar line-up of live comedy will be a live house band, street food, a fun fair and so much more.

Having fully established himself as one of the safest and funniest pair of hands in television, JOEL DOMMETT has become a firm fixture on TV in the last few years. He became known to many people through his successful stint on I’m a Celebrity and gained thousands of fans due to his unique brand of humour and his lovable personality while on the show; so many that he went on to finish second.

After his hugely successful time in the jungle, he took over the hosting of ITV2’s spin-off show I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp alongside Scarlett Moffatt. Joel went on to star on Channel 4’s Comedy Gala and the BBC’s Live at the Apollo, becoming a regular face on our screens. He went on to film a special for Netflix which was filmed at Montreal Comedy festival.

Joel is quickly cementing himself as one of Britain’s regularly featured presenters; he has been the front man of Saturday night smash-hit The Masked Singer since 2020 for five hugely successful series, which have seen viewing figures of 10 million. He presented The Masked Dancer spin-off and hosted The Masked Singer Live in arenas around the country.

Also on ITV, Joel hosts the hugely popular teatime quiz show ‘In with a Shout’, which will see a second series air later this year. In 2023 Joel hosted the newly commissioned reboot of Survivor on BBC One, which saw him put 16 contestants to the test in the Dominican Republic in what many say is the toughest show on TV. The same year he also hosted Comic relief on BBC One for the first time.
