A TAYLOR SWIFT tour is always a massive event, and one that brings her to the Principality Stadium in Cardiff next year is definitely one high on the list of must-see shows.
I suppose you could describe this as a ‘kind of’ greatest hits show. As Taylor said THE ERAS TOUR is ‘a journey through the musical eras of my career’.
Here’s a first look at the proposed seating plan for the night…..
The Stadium map shows there will be a total of nine standing and seating sections across the arena, including Front Left Standing and Front Right Standing in front of the stage and General Admission Standing just behind. The rest of the stadium, which is made up of four stands, includes five more tiers along with suites in front of the upper tiers.

Tickets go on sale on Wednesday 19th July at 3pm. Any true fan will already know that you’ll be able to pre-register to get a code for early access to the tickets.Fans will have to register to buy tickets for Taylor, ahead of them being on sale.
Ticketmaster, who are looking after the sale said….
“We expect there will be more demand than there are tickets available.”
“Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis while currently-available inventory lasts”.
If you do get an access code, here are a few key pieces of advice.
- Tickets will be sold via both Ticketmaster and AXS. Fans will be told in advance which site their code gives them access to.
- Make sure your Ticketmaster or AXS account is up-to-date before the sale. Most importantly, add your credit card details in advance – more than one, if possible – to speed up the checkout.
- Check that you know your login details. You don’t want to lose your tickets at the checkout because you’re dealing with password reset emails.
- Log in early – at least five to 10 minutes before the sale starts. If you’re late, tens of thousands of people will already be in front of you.
- Don’t use multiple devices or browser tabs. In the US pre-sale, Ticketmaster only allowed one device and one open page per account. Any extras may result in errors, which you definitely don’t want.
- Decide in advance what seats you want, and how much you’re prepared to spend. Prices haven’t been confirmed but based on Taylor’s US and Australia dates, tickets are likely to start at around £49 for nosebleed seats, £95 for floor standing, with the top tier VIP packages valued at around £650.
- Once you’re in the queue, do not refresh your browser. That will put you to the back of the queue again. The page will refresh automatically.
- Don’t give up hope. I was number 389,831 in the queue for Beyoncé tickets earlier this year but, after two-and-a-half hours, the page came to life and I got pretty good seats.
- Finally, keep checking back. Sometimes failed payments and website crashes mean other people lose their tickets after initially reserving them. Sometimes, you can find seats hours after the tour appears to have sold out.
We’ve heard that the show includes and incredible 44-song setlist covering Taylor’s ten ERAS so there is a reference to each of her albums.
The songs included ‘Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince’, ‘Cruel Summer’, ‘The Man’, ‘You Need to Calm Down’, ‘Lover’, ‘The Archer’, ‘Fearless’, ‘You Belong With Me,’ ‘Love Story’, ‘Tis The Damn Season’, ‘Don’t Blame Me’, ‘22’, ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’, ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’, ‘Shake it Off’, ‘Anti-Hero’, ‘Mastermind’ and ‘Karma’.

A couple of things we’ve noticed on the tour schedule: Firstly, there’s a window of opportunity for Taylor to play Glastonbury next on the final night. She missed her slot in 2020 so this could be the perfect chance to get onto the Pyramid stage.
We also see there’s a little gap either side of the Cardiff show. Don’t quote us on this, but we wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised if a second night appeared at the stadium. We said the same about Harry Styles and Coldplay, and sure enough a second night was added. Watch this space.
This is the first major artist announcement for Principality Stadium of 2024. Mark Williams, Principality Stadium Manager said…..
“We’re delighted that Taylor Swift has chosen Principality Stadium as a stop on her Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour. It’s a special venue, we have the best fans in the world, and we look forward to welcoming Taylor to Cardiff next year.”
“This comes off the back of a sensational summer with over 250,000 music fans through our gates.” adds Williams. “If this year is anything to go by, 2024 is shaping up to be a record year. Watch this space!”
Taylor Swift’s 2024 UK dates:
- 7th & 8th June – Edinburgh, Murrayfield Stadium
- 14th & 15th June – Liverpool, Anfield Stadium
- 18th June – Cardiff, Principality Stadium
- 21st & 22nd June and 16th & 17th August – London, Wembley Stadium
Eras is Taylor’s first world tour since 2018, since then we’ve had four albums, including the huge, award winning Folklore.
Fans will have the chance to register interest in the tour HERE, although there could be long queues at certain time there too.
After registration closes, you’ll be sent a link for ticket purchase, although getting them is never a guarantee. Taylor gets to the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Tuesday 18th June next year. Tickets for the Cardiff show go on sale on Wednesday 19th July at 3pm.
