Hollywood star RYAN REYNOLDS is a bit of a big deal in Wales right now. Unless you’ve been living under THE ROCK you’ll probably know he has ties to Wrexham FC.
But Wales itself is kind of a big deal for Ryan. So much so that his latest Netflix movie RED NOTICE has been released with Welsh subtitles. Something not many (if any) big Netflix releases get.
Red Notice, broke the streaming platform’s first-day viewing record, and still has millions of us watching it every week.
The film also stars Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot.
The film, set in the world of international crime, tells the story of an Interpol agent who attempts to hunt down and capture the world’s most wanted art thief. A 5×3 metre cinema screen mounted to the back of an Ifor Williams trailer was taken around the area of The Racecourse displaying an unseen clip from the new film.
Ryan actually had a Welsh subtitles option included in his new blockbuster film.
We love the trailer he made (above) for the movie. In his beloved Wrexham scarf and gloves, he talked about adding the Welsh subtitles. He joked……
“I personally can’t stand those celebrities who take advantage of filming opportunities to promote their personal interests.
“Many critics are raving about the film and it will be subtitled in Welsh for my friends in Wrexham.”
Ryan visited Wrexham for the first time in October, attending their home game against Torquay United, whilst getting to know the town. We’re also told there’ll be a Netflix series chronicling their journey with the club on its way.
