voco St. David’s Cardiff has partnered with a charity dedicated to making cycling accessible to all to launch its new ‘Bike and Bed’ getaway package.
The package, which includes two hours of bike rental from Pedal Power, has been launched to coincide with National Bike Week taking place from 10-16 June.
With the aim of encouraging hotel visitors to explore Cardiff Bay, as well as the city’s vibrant streets and scenic parks, all whilst reaping the physical, social and environmental benefits of cycling, the new package is available to book until the end of September.
It includes an overnight stay at the iconic five-star hotel and breakfast at its waterfront restaurant, Tir a Mor.
The partnership with Pedal Power sees guests able to book a huge range of standard and adaptive bike, including e-bikes, side-by-side trikes, tandems and tag alongs.
Bikes are available to hire directly from Cardiff Bay on Saturdays and Sundays from 10.30-5pm and every Thursday and Friday during UK school holidays.
These are the latest additions to the Pedal Power fleet……
With the hotel’s location in the heart of Cardiff Bay, hotel visitors will be able to cycle the Cardiff Bay Trail, a 10km circular trail across the barrage to Penarth. Along the trail, cyclists can enjoy Cardiff’s rich heritage, see historic landmarks, such as the Norwegian Church, iconic buildings like the world-renowned Wales Millennium Centre and the Senedd, as well as stopping for a break at one of the Bay’s waterfront cafés, bars and restaurants.
Konstantin Grimm, General Manager at voco St David’s Cardiff told us…..
“We are extremely excited about the launch of this new package which visitors can enjoy during the summer months. The ability to hire a range of bikes directly from the Bay adds a new dynamic for those staying at the hotel and wishing to explore all that the city has to offer.
We’re delighted to partner with Pedal Power and very much share their vision of creating happier, healthier and greener lives through cycling and being active. We hope this package will inspire more people to think about using a bike when planning a journey, sightseeing or exercising while staying with us.”
