Throwing a festival on what happens to be your childs’ birthday weekend: Name it after them, and let him think it’s their party. All sounds like a brilliant idea to us. That’s kind of how CEDRIC FEST began.

The event has been running annually (give or take a pandemic) since Becky and Craig had the baby shower for their son in 2017. It happened again on his 1st and 2nd birthdays and unfortunately missed out last year because of covid.

So here they are for Cedric Fest 4.0, the little man is turning 4 and they’re ready to go big and share the party with all their followers.

Before we tell you about the festival perhaps you should know a little of the story behind the Gower Dough Co, who are putting the whole event on.

As you’ve no doubt guessed they are a pizza business, but very much one with a difference.

In fact it was only ever intended to be a bit of a side hustle, catering for the odd wedding and festival events over summer. Within a few weeks of launching, they were fully booked during May, June, July, with wedding bookings scattered throughout the year. But with COVID 19 came cancellations and they needed to get this little pizza trailer business off the ground ASAP.

They launched a delivery service from their home in the Gower. And, with the support of the local community, were busier than they could ever imagine.

After two whirlwind months of self-employment, The Gower Dough Co was no longer a ‘side-hustle’ and they were in deep! Their first big contract was Margam Country Park for summer ’20 followed by Swansea Bay Pop-up (the one with the big circus tent).

They launched ‘Gower Dough Presents’ last December – a COVID safe & family friendly drive-in cinema, with their trailers dishing out the pizza goodies.

The aim for The Gower Dough Co./Gower Dough Presents: has been to remain family orientated whilst letting your hair down and having a good time. They want to create an environment with no judgement, delivering on quality and supporting local.

And that’s exactly how it’ll be this weekend. You can visit for the day or stay for the weekend. Camping tickets available.

And the organisers aren’t holding back, as they said, they’re thinking big, with so much included in the price of your ticket.

  • Inflatables
  • Bands
  • DJ
  • Comedy Acts
  • Films.

The famous Ruby-the-pizza-bus will be in attendance alongside local vendors. Whether you want to keep hydrated, caffeinated or you need something stronger (it’s the summer holidays after all), head to the bar!

***They will be operating in a Covid safe way following current guidelines***
