Christmas Comes To The Ivy Cardiff

This Christmas, The Ivy Cardiff celebrates with a joyful, festive installation in the heart of the city for us all to enjoy, whether we’re dining or just passing by. They also have a few additions in the shape of a limited-edition cocktail menu created in collaboration with Bacardi.

Christmas is the perfect opportunity to celebrate with those closest to us once again and The Ivy are offering just that. Enjoy great food in relaxed, stylish surroundings and bring some extra sparkle to Christmas lunches, yuletide get-togethers and festive dinners.

Incidentally, it’s now a year since The Ivy Cardiff opened and back then it was a very different entrance we were looking at.

This year you can choose from the main restaurant or private dining room, with each providing the perfect backdrop for much-missed get-togethers and family reunions. The carefully curated, delightfully delicious menu is full of warming, seasonal specials and expertly crafted cocktails to make sure the Christmas spirit is in full flow.

Matt Glister is the General Manager at The Ivy Cardiff, he told us……..

“This year more than ever, it’s so important that we help spread Christmas cheer and positivity to our guests and neighbours alike. We hope to put a smile on peoples’ faces as they pass by and look forward to welcoming diners over the coming weeks as we approach the most magical time of the year.”

The festive spirit begins before you even walk through the doors. When you arrive you’ll be met with a beautiful installation at the brasserie’s entrance, complete with candy canes, multi-coloured sweets and decorations, whilst inside, guests will be able to get in the Christmas spirit with a trio of delicious, bespoke cocktails available from now.

Mixed up by the restaurant’s bar team, creations will include………

The Poire L’Hiver Bellini (£10.75), complete with Grey Goose poire, prosecco, cinnamon syrup and pear purée,

The Gingerbread Espresso Martini (£10.50), featuring Grey Goose vodka, espresso, coffee liqueur and gingerbread syrup

The Candy Cane (£9.95), incorporating a tantalising blend of Grey Goose vodka, crème de menthe, crème da cacao and grenadine.

If you’re looking to indulge in something a little sweeter, and let’s be honest, that’s what the festive season is all about, the brasserie will also be serving up a bespoke Rudolph dessert this December.
