I remember the day I saw the movie Moulin Rouge, it was on a Saturday afternoon, at a small cinema in Florida and from the moment the opening titles ran, I knew this was going to be something special. It felt like a proper return of the cinematic musical. In fact, get the film up on streaming this weekend and give it a watch and I guarantee it’ll still blow you away.

Fast forward all these years and our appetite for all things Moulin Rouge is even greater. With a stage version in full swing, the music being played on radio stations all over the country, and a theatre production paying tribute to everything that is special about this incredible musical.

Two of the nation’s best loved dancing professionals, AJ & CURTIS PRITCHARD (Strictly Come Dancing, Dancing With The Stars, Love Island), are set to star in COME WHAT MAY, one of the UK’s most exciting theatre productions touring across the UK, getting to the New Theatre in Cardiff this evening – Monday 23rd September.

Taking us to the sultry, mysterious atmosphere of Paris Come What May, features all your favourite hits from the iconic movie-musical Moulin Rouge and joining AJ & Curtis are a cast of West End performers, this is one show you don’t want to miss.

Of course, the pair spent last Christmas right here in South Wales in Cinderella at the Swansea Grand – you can watch our Meet the Cast special HERE. We caught up with the pair just ahead of what is likely to be a very busy run on this show. First things first – a trip down South Wales memory lane.
