Forte Festival 2024

This year sees Forte School of Music celebrating their 22nd annual festival and delighted that they have chosen to return to Acapela after the success of last year’s event. The festival is a great opportunity for students to perform in front of an audience (many for the first time) and is a fun and exciting time for students to experience the environment of a professional music concert.

The festival will include 4 concerts, with performers of all ages playing a variety of instruments. Please book tickets for the concert you wish to attend – if you know someone who is performing on the day, please ask them for the concert time that they are performing in, to ensure that you get to see them play.

The venue will be videoing each concert in full, and ticket prices include a copy of the concert you purchase tickets for

Concert times 11.00am, 12.15pm, 1.30pm and 2.45pm.

Car Park – VERY IMPORTANT

Many of you will have seen that we have a dispute presently with the Lewis Arms concerning car parking. This dispute is over allowing our staff and studio visitors access and parking rights, however we have always advised concert visitors not to park in the car park leaving this for the pub clients. PLEASE NOTE IF YOU PARK IN THE CAR PARK YOU WILL RECEIVE A PARKING NOTICE (THEY HAVE CAMERAS INSTALLED) AND IT WILL COST YOU £60! So do not spoil your evening – do not park in the car park.

We would suggest parking on the road next to the open fields by Pentyrch Primary School in Bronllwyn (CF15 9QL). From the venue, follow the road around past the shops and the school is on the right hand side. If you park here this is only a 150m (3 minutes) walk to the venue via a footpath that runs directly into Field Terrace – the road opposite the venue.

Please park with consideration for our neighbours in the streets surrounding the venue. We have received quite a few complaints recently which has resulted in us having to ask visitors to move their cars! – Please do not park especially:

on any kerbs or PAVEMENTS – ESPECIALLY OPPOSITE THE VENUE and on MOUNTAIN ROAD….if your tyre is on a pavement you will be asked to move!
across resident’s drives,
On the pavement opposite the T Junction next to Acapela (THIS IS ILLEGAL AND YOU MAY GET A TICKET FROM THE POLICE)
within 10metres of the T junction next to the venue (THIS IS ILLEGAL AND YOU MAY GET A TICKET FROM THE POLICE)
PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN PENMAES!
The area around the venue may be congested so please do park further afield from our front door, you will find it less busy!
