Jolly Book Bank Appeal

This festive season, we’re delivering joy at The Red Dragon Centre in all kinds of ways!

From our joyful events to festive films, fun, and food, we’ve got you covered, all under one gigantic roof.

But that’s not all…this year we’re going the extra mile to deliver joy and smiles with the gift of reading!

Between 18 November and 5 January 2025, we’re opening a jolly book bank for children where families can give joy and get joy!

Quite simply, we’ll be accepting donations of children’s books in good condition during the period of the appeal, and inviting our young visitors to either exchange or take a free book of their choice home with them, where the magical escapism can continue.

The initiative will also be supporting our partner charity, Make a Smile, which helps to provide disadvantaged children the chance to meet their favourite idols! This often includes special character visits to hospitals and other settings, where book readings are undertaken.

Any books remaining at the end of the appeal will be redistributed by the charity and we’ll also be accepting online donations at the Jolly Book Bank. Volunteers from the charity will also be joining us for some special character days.
