The SHINE NIGHT WALK came to the centre of Cardiff last night (Friday 6th October) supporting the incredible work of CANCER RESEARCH UK.
The event is an illuminating night-time walk passing some of our most famous landmarks.
For one night, the streets belong to the charity. Stride by stride walkers make their way through the lights of the city and get closer to beating cancer.
South Wales Life joined the Night Walkers as they completed the journey at Cardiff Castle. We heard some inspiring tales, from the most dedicated people you’ll ever meet……
1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetime. The night walk is just one of many events organised by the charity. What is great about it is it’s designed for all ability levels, people choose thewalk and get going, all while raising money for a cancer cause that’s closest to their heart.
As we heard in our film, it’s not all about the money – the shared experience, friendship, love and support, is equally important.
