Like so many events the SOUTH WALES CAR FESTIVAL organisers had to cancel this years show. The good news is, they will return next year, and in true style, it will be bigger and better than ever. They said…
“It is with sincere regret that we have taken the decision to cancel the South Wales Car Show, after assessing the difficulties of managing the social distancing restrictions. However, we’re delighted to announce that the event will be taking place on Sunday 27 June 2021, at Chepstow Race Course.”

What is particularly upsetting about this, apart from all the hard work they had put into the event, is the cancellation of the show is having a negative impact on the fundraising activities for St David’s Hospice Care. The organiser have said they need your support more than ever to help fund the work of the hospice services provided free to all patients and families.
By supporting St David’s Hospice Care you are making a positive difference to patients and their families throughout Newport, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Torfaen and South & Mid Powys. Your donations help provide vital palliative care to people facing life limiting illnesses as well as providing support to their families at a very difficult time. St David’s Hospice Care, with your help, aims to ensure that patients have the choice to receive care at home, surrounded by friends and family.
With that in mind, the focus is on making the 2021 bigger and better than ever (told you).
The event itself is a new, and by the sounds of it, exciting Super Car Show in South Wales based at Chepstow Racecourse. The day will be a mixture of various vehicles including Supercars, commercial, vintage, car clubs, motor cycles and much more. At the moment, most of the event is being told in pictures, so let us do the same.
As well as cars, the plan is to make this a real day out for the whole family including bars, street food, kids corner, funfair, live music, entertainment, craft stalls and local produce. At the same time raising funds, and of course spreading the word about the amazing work of our local hospice, St David’s Hospice Care.
Tickets are only £8 for adults, £3 for the kids, or a family ticket is £20 which gets 2 adult and 3 children under 12. If you are a car enthusiast however, we reckon the VIP ticket is the way to go. For £25 you get the following……
- Super Cars Vip Area
- Refreshments
- Vip Hospitality Box
- Up Close & Personal With Super Cars
We know it seems an age away, but this could be a great Christmas pressie for the car loving person in your life – just a thought. The organisers are also looking for volunteers to help out on the day, which we reckon will be a great way to share the show and support the charity. Just email them at carshow@stdavidshospicecare.org

It’s obviously very early in the planning stage and the organisers are not yet in a position to release the schedule of events. We reckon after the last months of nothing in the diary, it’s nice to start getting things back in there, especially for something as fun and supportive as this.
The date to keep is Sunday 27th June 2021. To keep in touch follow the link,, which is also the place you can buy yourself tickets. SUPERCAR
