In celebration of the Six Nations Championship, THE IVY CARDIFF, has the ultimate cocktail menu to honour the occasion and help fans show their allegiance this rugby season.
There are also two special events, guaranteed to get any fans taste buds tingling with rugby legends SIR GARETH EDWARDS and SAM WARBURTON. With the first games taking place in 1883, the Six Nations has spanned over three centuries, making it one of the most-loved events in the sporting calendar.

Created by the restaurantâs talented bar team, each cocktail represents one of the six nations taking part in the championship. Delicious creations include The G.O.A.T, (£9.50) a mix of Plymouth gin, Plymouth sloe gin, lemon juice and lavender syrup, garnished with a lavender sprig, English Rose, (£9.75) featuring Beefeater gin, Pimmâs and Elderflower cordial, topped with Fever Tree lemonade and garnished with a mint sprig, The Emerald Isle, (£9.75) consisting of Jameson, Lillet Rouge, Cointreau, lime juice, and a dash of whiskey barrel bitters,
There’s also Le Coqs, (£12.75) which includes, Beefeater gin, Lillet Blanc, lemon juice, sugar syrup and topped with The Ivy Champagne, Scotts on the Rocks, (£9.75) featuring Plymouth gin, Chivas 12 year, ginger juice, lemon juice and clear honey, and finally the Zesty Italian, (£10.95) a tantalising mix of Malfy Aranciata gin, Barolo Chinato, Campari and a dash of whisky barrel bitters.
If that wasnât enough, The Ivy Cardiff is delighted to be hosting two events with former rugby union players Sir Gareth Edwards (Thursday, 17th March) and Sam Warburton (Thursday, 24th February). You will be able to engage with the former rugby legends and understand more about their time playing for Wales and supporting their team.
On Thursday 24th February it’s an evening with Sam Warburton OBE.
Samâs rugby career is unmatched. Since becoming Walesâ youngest ever Captain at 22, Sam led them to their highest ever finish at the 2011 Rugby World Cup. In total, Warburton won 74 caps for Wales including a record 49 as Captain. His international career included leading Wales to another Rugby World Cup in 2015, captaining them to a Grand Slam in 2012 and their first back-to-back Six Nations Championship wins in over 30 years.

On Thursday 17th March it’s an evening with the G.O.A.T himself Sir Gareth Edwards.
The Welsh Rugby legend is one of the stars of the great Welsh side of the 1970s. Sir Gareth Edwards made a then-record 53 consecutive appearances for Wales scoring 22 tries. As well as for Wales, Sir Gareth played 195 times for Cardiff RFC and 10 times for the British and Irish Lions on three tours being part of the only Lions side to win a series in New Zealand in 1971 and then 3 years later was part of the âInvinciblesâ that went unbeaten in South Africa.
