Truckfest is nothing new, the guys who run these events have been doing them for a long time. We do however have something brand new here in the shape of TRUCKFEST WALES.
We’ve actually had a lot of experience of these shows in other venues, particularly the Bath & West Showground over the bridge. For years we have seen monster trucks, monster crowds and monster guests come through the gates, and that’s exactly what we’ll be getting when the event rolls into the Royal Welsh Showground on the 24th and 25th August.
Although this is TRUCKFEST, it goes way beyond the amazing trucks on display from beautifully restored classics from yesteryear, to highly decorated custom and American trucks. Truckfest is a great family day out with monster truck action, arena stunt shows. Meet celebrities and children’s characters. Take part in exhilarating rides and see some incredible trucks.
Of course there’s also plenty of delicious refreshments and a wide variety of goods to see from the traders.
I said these guys have been doing it for while, it was actually back in 1983 when Truckfest started, and give or take a little Covid break, they’ve been brining these events to showgrounds all across the UK and now finally it’s our turn in Wales.
One day I’ll dig out our picture archive and show you some previous events, when the likes or Martin Kemp would turn up to meet the crowds during his days on Eastenders.
TRUCKFEST gets to the Royal Welsh Showground in Llanelwedd on the 24th and 25th August. We’ll let you know ore in due course. You can even make a weekend of it and book a camping pass, these include your pitch, vehicle pass and show entry across the entire weekend! For more details go HERE.
