Her Majesty The Queen’s coffin has left Balmoral Castle.
Accompanied by The Princess Royal and Sir Tim Laurence, the cortege will travel to the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
The Wreath on the coffin features Dhalias, Sweet Peas, Phlox, White Heather and Pine Fir from the Balmoral Estate.
The Queen’s oak coffin departs Balmoral on a six-hour journey to Edinburgh by road. The coffin will arrive at the palace of Holyroodhouse and lie in the Throne Room.
The coffin is scheduled to arrive in London on Tuesday. The state funeral for Queen Elizabeth II will take place at Westminster Abbey on September 19th, according to a statement by the Royal Family. Yesterday (Saturday), King Charles III was officially proclaimed as the new monarch.
