As food festivals go we’re pretty blessed in South Wales and the reason for that is we have so much great food and drink, right on our doorstep. It seems more and more of us are now shopping, buying, cooking and eating local. A great thing for the economy and an even better thing for us, because the food and drink tastes great.

After such a long period of lockdown it’s nice to be able to get out and share our love all of things food and drinks with local suppliers, who equally can’t wait to welcome us back to events like the BRECON BEACONS FOOD FESTIVAL. The event returns on Saturday 1st October in the Brecon Market Hall, and the organisers assure us this year it will be bigger and better than ever.

We’re great believers that if you have something good, you shout about it, loud and proud. That’s exactly what they’ve been doing at the for the last 25 years. Not only shouting and sharing, but promoting local food by bringing the best food and drink producers in and around the Brecon Beacons together for us all to enjoy. As well as over 60 exhibitors at the festival, the day includes a wide range of entertainment and celebrity and local star chef demonstrations. If that wasn’t enough, it’s FREE, making it the perfect day out for the whole family!

The festival has just announced that BEACON FOODS have signed up as the first ‘Title Sponsor’ of this year’s event.

Event Organiser, Andrew Powell said…..

“We are delighted that Beacon Foods have joined as the first title sponsor for this year’s Brecon Beacons Food Festival. It’s brilliant to have a prestigious Brecon business supporting this year’s event and I thank them for sponsoring the food festival for another year.

“We don’t have the luxury of a large, guaranteed budget each year, so we work hard with the funds invested by exhibitors and sponsors into making the event a success. The funds give us the opportunity to cover running costs and add additional funds to our marketing activities.

“I’d encourage any local businesses or organisations to get in touch if they are interested in supporting the event. Each year we are keen to build more mutually beneficial relationships and we have a great range of sponsorship packages available this year.”

Finance Director of Beacon Foods, Jeff Davies added……

“Beacon Foods are delighted to be a main sponsor of the Brecon Beacon Food festival this year. We are extremely pleased to see the return of the festival as it is a great day out for people of all ages. Best wishes to the organisers and helpers.”

Beacon Foods are passionate about sourcing and preparing the most delicious foods that the culinary world has to offer, from raw ingredients to expertly finished ready-to-eat products.

There is of course plenty to try, eat and buy but also so much to see with music, experiences and cookery demonstrations. As soon as we hear more on who will be cooking we’ll let you know.

To be honest we’ve barely scratched the surface on what is going on during this fabulous food festival. Get yourself along to the Market Hall in Brecon today, Saturday 1st October from 9:30am till 4:30pm. There’s plenty to see and do (and eat) so make sure you enjoy the whole day.
