Coleg Gwent Open Events — January 28, 2025 — Newport, Usk, Crosskeys, Blaenau Gwent, Torfaen

This January, Coleg Gwent is welcoming future learners to open events at all five campuses — across Blaenau Gwent, Newport, Crosskeys, Torfaen and Usk — from 5pm – 7.30pm. 

Choosing the right course and career path can be a daunting task but Coleg Gwent has something for everyone — whether you’re looking at completing A Levels, vocational courses, apprenticeships or higher education courses. 

Attending an Open Event is a great way to learn more, receive expert guidance and get answers to your burning questions. 

Why attend an on-campus open event? 

You can… 

• Listen to welcome talks and partake in a campus tour. 

• Find out about full time, part time & higher education courses. 

• Take a look around the campuses and state-of-the-art facilities. 

• Meet the lecturers & find out about potential careers. 

• Get information about financial support and travel. 

• Learn about life at Coleg Gwent, including student support services, extracurricular activities, student union, and more. 

• Apply in person at the event by filling out an application form with the help of experienced staff. 

All five open events will take place on 28 January 2025, across the Coleg Gwent campuses — but not all campuses offer the same courses, so make sure you check online to avoid disappointment.

Future learners can apply for their desired courses online or at the open events themselves — where help and support from the team will be on hand. 

September may seem a long way off but it’s good to be prepared and keep options open. And if you’re an adult learner, courses start throughout the year.
