Victory to the Miners’ Runway Show

The show commemorates the 40th anniversary of the end of the Welsh miners’ strikes and aims to celebrate Wales’ rich industrial heritage while showcasing the future of sustainable fashion. Proceeds from ticket sales, as well as additional donations collected on the night, will go to City Hospice, a charity close to our hearts.

We are expecting 300 attendees at the event, which will open its doors at 7:00 PM with a live, stripped-back performance by Swansea-based band Subterrania to set the atmosphere. The runway show begins at 8:30 PM and will be presented bilingually by Rhydian Bowen Phillips, a well-known presenter for the BBC, S4C, and Cardiff City Football Club.

The evening will showcase new Cambrensis products, alongside our collaborative collection with Welsh sustainable streetwear designer Nia Jade, made in Wales. These pieces celebrate a blend of heritage craftsmanship and contemporary design. After the show, we’ll host an exclusive drinks and networking opportunity, featuring a DJ set by the fantastic Katie Owen.

About Cambrensis

Cambrensis is a Welsh heritage menswear brand built on the values of heritage, style, and identity. We strive to bring Welsh culture to the forefront of contemporary fashion. In February 2024, we proudly showcased our ‘Merthyr’ SS24 collection at London Fashion Week, which received outstanding feedback.

This upcoming show, however, is set to be even more significant. Our goal is to make it the biggest fashion-related event Wales has ever seen, uniting creativity, community, and purpose under one roof.
