SUMMER OF SCIENCE
Experimental Science are returning to The Red Dragon Centre this summer with a series of exciting workshops!
Join them on 25 July to celebrate the release of the new movie Twisters! They will explore the science behind natural disasters including volcanoes, earthquakes and twisters to find out what really happens inside our volatile Earth.
This workshop must be pre-booked. Suitable for age 4+. Session lasts for approximately 50 minutes. Tickets £10. Parents must stay with their children but no adult ticket is needed.
What to expect:
Explore the properties of lava and create a lava lamp.
Learn about the geological make up of a volcano and create an erupting volcano.
Explore earthquake epicentres and discover the best shape for a building to survive in an earthquake.
Build your own tower and test it on our earthquake shaker!
Explore twisters by creating a tornado in a bottle.
Design and create your own spinning tornado measuring device to take home.
This workshop uses a mixture of chemical reactions, craft supplies and food substances to explore the topic. There is no science show, every activity is hands-on. Experimental Science we reserve the right to change any activity without warning or notice.
