The Big Brockweir Americana & Country Night

Featuring live music from fabulous alt-country originals – The Rosellys

We’ll be transforming the Mac into a Country and Western Party Bar, with live music, delicious BBQ food, prizes for the best-dressed cowboys and cowgirls, and a country classics ‘disco’ to wrap the night up – so bring your dancing shoes!

It promises to be a great family-friendly night and hopefully the sun will be shining down to conjure-up a real Americana atmosphere.

We’ll be welcoming Herefordshire-based The Rosellys as they bring their accomplished rootsy and folky alt-country sounds to the Mac stage. This family band will bring a real mix of energy and musicality to the night – seventeen years of gigging means The Rosellys are a very slick unit indeed – we fully expect to see you on the dance floor!

Tickets £10 (Under-16s £8, under-5s free). BBQ food will be available to purchase on the night – vegetarians catered for.

The Rosellys – a little bit more about our musical guests for the evening.

Based in Herefordshire, The Rosellys are a five piece band influenced by artists such as Chris Stapleton, Alison Krauss, Gillian Welch, Gram Parsons & James Taylor, it’s clear The Rosellys have an absolute love for alternative country music – and they even have a song named after our very own River Wye!
Described by R2 Magazine (roots, rock, folk, singer-songwriter, blues, world, country and beyond) as “Capturing the essence of country, with folk ingredients baked into a transatlantic roots fusion” the band is led by life partners Dr Rebecca Rosellys (guitar, vocals, banjo), Simon Rosellys (guitar, fiddle, vocals), along with Simon’s Dad Allan Kelly (pedal steel/accordion) and father/son Matt Kirby (bass) and George Kirby (drums).
