Monkey 47 comes with quite a story, as uniques as its taste.
The great British tradition of London Dry Gin is united with the exoticism of India and the raw, unspoiled nature of the Black Forest. Access to fresh ingredients of the highest quality is virtually unlimited, and the Black Forest water sourced from deep sandstone springs is one of the softest and mildest waters in Europe.
A master quality gin with floral notes, the freshness of tangy citrus fruits, a clear juniper tone, a peppery, spicy mouthfeel and a subtle hint of cranberries to give it that certain “je ne sais quoi”.
Produced exclusively by hand using traditional distilling methods and 100% fresh plant ingredients. Its name says it all: Exactly 47 different plant ingredients have found their way into the “Monkey 47” recipe. A recipe that is naturally a carefully guarded secret and known only to Alexander Stein and his distiller, Christoph Keller.
Pull up your chair, grab your favourite tipple, and take a look at the Monkey 47 story below……
The Horse’s Spirit Company was founded in 2020, and just like the song, it’s something a little special.
Its aim? To blend the centuries-old distilling expertise of the German Black Forest region into the traditional production of American whiskey, thereby capturing the best of both worlds on a new quest into the spirit realm. Saddle up!
Horse with No Name combines Bourbon from the award-winning Firestone & Robertson distillery in Texas with a habanero spirit that’s distilled locally in the Black Forest. The Bourbon is made with yellow dent corn, soft red winter wheat, six-row distillers malt and a proprietary yeast strain that was captured from a pecan and aged for four years. To spice things up it is infused with a unique habanero spirit that is produced using traditional and artisanal methods of flavour extraction.

The result? A unique spirit with fragrant oak aromas of Bourbon, floral accompaniments of vanilla and coconut, and a hint of the elegant, fruity sweetness of Black Forest Habanero heat.
Enjoy as a twist on classic Bourbon cocktails like the Old Fashioned, Whiskey Sour or Mint Julep or top 40ml of Horse with No Name with Cola, a squeeze of fresh Lemon and Lime and a garnish with a lemon wheel for a Cowboy Spritz!
