Tickets will go on sale at 10am this morning.

PETER KAY

He’s called the tour ‘Better Late Than Never’ which is a sideways reference to his ‘Have Gags Will Travel’. The extensive, 14-month, 100-date tour which was called off owing to unforeseen family circumstances.

Peter, who kicks off his tour at the venue where he once worked as a yellowcoat, the Manchester AO Arena, said…..

“It’s good to get back to what I love doing best, standup comedy and if there’s ever a time people need a laugh it’s now.

“And with the cost of living at an all-time high, ticket prices are starting from £35. The same price they were on my previous tour in 2010.”

Peter’s 2010 tour still officially ranks with the Guinness Book of World Records as the biggest selling comedy tour of all time. Playing to over 1.2 million people.

The advert below appeared during I’m A Celebrity … on Sunday night. Peter’s website crashed with the massive reaction to it, and the poster with him holding a sign reading, “Better late than never”.

PETER KAY TOUR ADVERT

What are the odds of securing yourself a Peter Kay ticket for his upcoming tour?

We asked the guys Gambling.com to crunch the numbers, revealing you had an estimated 12.5% (7/1) chance of getting a ticket but how has this changed since the announcement?

Using stadium capacity figures for each date, there was an estimated 279,000 tickets available for the initial release, however, this has now increased to 519,000.

Taking into account levels of interest, in the form of engagement rates online and Google search volumes for ‘Peter Kay tickets’, we estimate there’s at least 2 million people looking to bag themselves at ticket.

Therefore, this would mean the implied probability of getting a ticket is 25% or 3/1. Whilst this is better than it was earlier in the week it still means 75% of people could be left disappointed.

The tour includes dates in Birmingham, Liverpool, Leeds, Belfast, Newcastle, Dublin, Cardiff and Glasgow. His run will end on 11 August 2023 at the Utilita Arena Sheffield. If you scroll to the bottom of the page, you’ll see Peter has also announced a monthly residency at the O2 Arena in London lasting almost a year.
