THE BAY SERIES returned at the stunning Alexandra Head, Cardiff Bay. Each day headlined by an act of epic proportions – N-DUBZ, THE STREETS, SCOOTER and THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS, all taking to the stage to deliver huge live shows, dropping hit after hit, and preceded by special guests and support acts who are simply not to be missed. First up – here’s details of the barrage and road closures………
To facilitate these ticketed events and safely manage the crowds, road closures will be in place and the Barrage site itself will be closed to non-ticket holders, on:
- Saturday 9th September from 12:00 – 01:00
At these times, road closures will be in place at:
- The Penarth side of the Barrage – prohibiting all vehicular and pedestrian access across the Barrage.
- At the junction of Britannia Quay / Pierhead St.
- At the junction of Teigr Way / Dock entrance.
Pedestrians and cyclists will be rerouted to alternative routes and signage will be in place to assist.
Access and egress to off road parking will be permitted under the control of traffic marshals, but only when it is safe to do so.
Ticket holders should note that the entrance and exit for the events will be near the Porth Teigr roundabout (the Bay end of the Barrage Walkway).
On Wednesday night N-Dubz kicked things off with a blinding set. ext up are the pioneers of UK garage, The Streets headlined The Bay Series last night (7th September).

One of the world’s biggest techno acts of all-time, SCOOTER played last night, following the release of 20th studio album, ‘GOD SAVE THE RAVE’. The German trio have racked up a whopping 30 million+ in single and album sales through their expansive career, with an enormous 100 gold and platinum records globally. SCOOTER will be bringing “the biggest rave in Wales” to Cardiff on 8 September armed with tracks including The Logical Song, Nessaja, their latest release Waste Your Youth for what’s sure to be an unforgettable feast of dance, techno and rave goodness. Support comes in the form of WILL ATKINSON and SHUGZ with more to come.
Tonight (9th September), one of the most exciting live acts on the planet, The Chemical Brothers will come to Cardiff armed with an expansive, genre-defying catalogue of anthemic hits including Hey Boy Hey Girl, Galvanise, Go, Block Rockin’ Beats and more which have firmly solidified them as a globally renowned electronic tour-de-force. The Chemical Brothers, Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons, return to Cardiff in 2023, with their mind-bending live show as part of The Bay Series – here we go! Plus, not here to do things by halves, they bring with them a banging DJ line-up including 2MANY DJs, HOT CHIP, EROL ALKAN, KELLY LEE OWENS and JAMES HOLROYD.
The Bay Series is Wales’ biggest open-air concert series, delivering music, food and culture to Cardiff Bay with the help of some of the greatest musical names on the planet.
