Rugby fans, it’s time to get lined up again as England heroes JAMES HASKELL and MIKE TINDALL take to the road with the world’s most popular rugby podcast – THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE RUGBY.
Joining James and Mike will be their podcast co-host former Sky Sports’ rugby presenter ALEX PAYNE.
It’s also just been announced that one of international rugby’s most wanted coaches – Wales’ WARREN GATLAND is joining James, Mike and Alex in Swansea on Thursday as they get back on the tour bus for a World Cup After Party with their hit podcast The Good, The Bad & The Rugby.
The show is back on tour for a World Cup After Party, with the guys sharing their own World Cup stories and recapping the action from the 10th men’s Rugby World Cup in France this Autumn – In their very own, The Good, The Bad & The Rugby style.
This will be the second tour from the hugely successful podcast team, who have gained more than 50million views online since launching in 2020, and follows a series of sold out shows in 2022. The trio will take to the stage to recreate their trademark on-air banter, as The Good (Alex), The Bad (James) and The Rugby (Mike), share tales from on and off the pitch for what promises to be a night filled with surprises and laughter with audience interaction, fun and games.
After a couple of great nights last year on the first ever tour, we’re sure the lads will bring more of the same – and some.
Mike told us…………
“We had an amazing time touring with The Good, The Bad And The Rugby – LIVE last year, so we cannot wait to get back out there in the Autumn, with the lowdown on all things World Cup. Personally, it will be a really special way to look back on being part of the England World Cup winning squad from 2003 – and hopefully England fans will have something to celebrate again.”
Episodes of the podcast have featured glimpses into each of the men’s lives – Mike announced his son’s dramatic birth on the bathroom floor on air, and they have regular guest appearances from some of the rugby world’s biggest stars and most controversial names.
James added…….
“Listeners to the podcast know how much we love sharing our stories and experiences of the game and getting stuck into the stories from our guests. It’s exciting to be planning another live tour for The Good, The Bad And The Rugby. Apparently we’ve been told we’ve got to talk about rugby and the World Cup but, as always, I will be steering it towards the characters and off field misdemeanours… So buy a ticket, and jump on the GBR magical mystery tour!”
And Alex said……
“Anyone who has ever listened to the show knows that my role is part host, part baby-sitter and part punchbag. Frankly, after two months in France at what will be an epic tournament, the last thing I want to do is spend more time with the other two – particularly on the road. But I’ve got to pay the bills. Time to get the goggles on and climb into the sidecar once again. See you there!”
We caught up with Mike and James ahead of last year’s shows (and the Jungle) to talk about the tour, the podcast and life away from the rugby pitch. You can look back at that interview HERE.
THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE RUGBY – WORLD CUP AFTER PARTY gets to Swansea Arena this Thursday 2nd November. Tickets for that can be had HERE.
